I am googling/pondering over whether to talk to a journalist about the ‘Olympic legacy’. I guess my point would need to be something about how the legacy isn’t just about whether the stadium gets turned over to West Ham, but about how the games improves the lot of young people as the games, after all, were won in their name. I came accross this project on the website of the Legacy Trust and although it hasn’t started yet, it looks like a really strong concept. The project basically helps young people take control of unused spaces in their towns and cities for things they want to do.
