London Wall

August 20, 2010

The Museum of London have an interactive instillation by the artists Jon Thomson and Alison Craighead who are ‘fascinated by the way global communications networks, such as the internet, transform the way we perceive and understand our world.’ The work is a series of tweets by Londoners living close to the museum, fly-posted onto a wall. Looking at this tweet made me think that so little of what is heard about the Olympics is unmediated and unfiltered. Looking at the tweets as a whole made me think how similar they all were. This could reflect something about what the artists think is interesting but probably says more about the tin slice of people who actually use twiter.
